Happy Mother’s Day!
Today finds us in Marbella, Spain.

As you can see, it is on the coast of Southern Spain. Not nearly as arid as Gran Canaria and with a year round growing season, it is lush and beautiful.
The views from our hotel are gorgeous with panoramas of the Mediterranean and the mountains.

As usual Tom and I explored the area on foot. On our first outing we took the foot bridge to the beach and headed toward the main marina of Marbella (no alliteration intended). Anyway, the marina is huge and the area amazing with flowers and statues everywhere!

We walked along the promenade taking in the sights and with me taking pictures. It was peaceful and terrific!
The next morning we headed the other direction. This was a wide dirt path still along the coast and again with spectacular views.

We walked about 5.5 miles with temperatures in the mid 70s and a lovely breeze. It was wonderful.
So this is a taste of Marbella, Spain.
Tomorrow Gibraltar (as in The Rock of )
Beautiful pictures. Thanks again. This makes me want to take a trip. Today, is is 50 degrees…very windy , very cold. Be safe. Sending hugs. Becky

Okay, I’m just a little green after viewing this post. I need to increase my vocabulary if I’m going to keep commenting. I can’t keep saying amazing, beautiful, lovely, and not sound like I’m brain dead, but those are the first words that come to mind. Let’s try glorious for the flowers today. I am in awe of how prolific they are. They don’t grow that way in Kansas! I would never want to go back to the hotel from the beach, and work out equipment: who knew (?). Continue to enjoy this amazing experience…

Hey Nancy, you may not have noticed, but I use beautiful, lovely, gorgeous and amazing repeatedly in my posts. If you come up with other words let me know. I feel like I need to come up with other descriptors when I’m writing, but those are the words that come to my mind when I’m seeing all these things.
Keep commenting and we’ll work on extending our vocabulary together.
