Monday, May 12th was our last day in Las Vegas, so we spent the day wandering around and taking in the sights.
There isn’t much commentary that I can add. A picture’s worth a thousand words, so I’m told, so here are my thousands of words:
Cool BuildingsMore Cool Buildings
The Excalibur Hotel – We stayed there years ago when Traci was considering attending UNLV. It is a fun place.Part of Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino
Inside the Forum Shops Mall – Opulent Extravagance – but then that is Las Vegas. The ceiling in this building changes with the time of day going through the day to starlit night – very cool!Do you reeealy want to go there, Dad?A Water ShowBut Wait, There’s More!Such a Fun Place!Looking out our hotel room window at sunset.
And so we bid a fond farewell to Las Vegas. It has been a memorable and wonderful visit.
Excaliber offered me a job once, doing ded bob.
The offer was made backstage at the Arizona Renaissance Festival.
At that festival, I was doing 4 shows a day, 2 days a week.
I was getting $850 per day, plus tips.
I had just finished a show and my tips were about $250 which I sorted while he was making the offer.
They wanted 6 shows per day, 6 days a week for $600 a week.
I just sorta stared at him.
What can I say…..How wonderful!!

You didn’t laugh hysterically? I can’t believe he had the nerve to even ask.
